STANDARD LESSONS
Standard lessons can be taken for 1 or 2 hours at a time. They can be taken once a week, twice or more. I find that it
is more efficient for you in the long term to take two hours at a time as it takes less lessons overall. This is because you
pick it up quicker and less time is spent recapping the previous lesson. However, some people can't concentrate for two hours
so it is up to you to choose. I will try to accommodate everyone whether you prefer different times or the same time every
week. However all lessons are subject to availability.
Lessons should not be seen simply as a means of passing the test as I am teaching you a skill for life. You need to be
able to drive safely on all roads and traffic conditions. Tuition follows the syllabus laid down by the Driving Standards
Agency.
Remember before taking driving lessons you must be over 17 and hold a Provisional driving licence. Both parts of your
licence must be available for inspection on your first lesson. If you do not yet hold a licence you can apply for it online at
the DVLA link below.
MOTORWAY LESSONS
Motorways are the safest type of road but many people avoid them due to lack of confidence. These lessons are designed
to give you the confidence to drive on Motorways. Motorway lessons are available for 1 or 2 hours but to cover a variety of
them and build confidence I recommend two hours together. It involves covering the signs and markings you'd expect to see
and practice on a variety of motorways, both urban and rural. Generally aimed at people who would not benefit from Pass Plus
discounts or people who have driven for a while but not had the confidence to use Motorways yet. Young drivers who have recently
passed should consider Pass Plus which covers this and more.
REFRESHER LESSONS
Refresher lessons are aimed at those who may have held a full licence for a while but who have either not driven for
some time or who want to improve their skills to update them for the modern roads. Traffic signs,, markings and rules change
over time. Would your driving skills and knowledge be good enough to pass a test? If you have lost your driving licence you
will need to replace it before coming on the lessons. Please click the link below.
